Associate Professor | SITE
Jesper Roine is Associate Professor of Economics at the Stockholm School of Economics. He is also Deputy director at SITE responsible for policy and outreach. He holds a Ph. D. from Stockholm University (2002). Before joining SITE in 2006 he was research associate at the Deparment of Economics at the school and prior to that Post Doc at STICERD, London School of Economics. He has also been visiting researcher at Northwestern University.
His current research is concerned with understanding the long-run evolution of income and wealth inequality, focusing on Sweden. He also works on the impact of natural resources on economic growth and institutional change. Jesper Roine is also co-founder and a regular contributor to ekonomistas.se.
