Pamela Campa

Pamela Campa is an Assistant Professor of Economics at SITE. Before joining SITE she was an Assistant Professor at University of Calgary. Pamela holds a PhD in Economics from the Institute for International Economic Studies (IIES) at Stockholm University. She is also affiliated to the Dondena Gender Initiative. Her research interests are in Political Economy, Environmental Economics and Gender Economics.

In her current research, she studies empirically the determinants of the quality of the environment in which we live, and of the inclusion of women in modern societies. In studying the determinants of the quality of the environment, she focuses on the role of media scrutiny in holding corporations accountable for their environmental standards. Her research agenda in gender economics studies the determinants of women’s employment and participation to politics, and of gender attitudes.
